I had the privilege of experiencing a journey that left a lasting imprint on my heart—an unforgettable escape to Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland & Labrador.
We stayed in a cozy, rustic cottage nestled in the small, welcoming community of Rocky Harbour, where the rhythm of the ocean and the scent of salt air greeted us each morning.
Everyday, we set out into the national park, where the landscapes were nothing short of breathtaking. Towering fjords, ancient mountains, and windswept coastlines offered a raw, untamed beauty that’s hard to put into words.
There was a deep sense of connection—to the earth, to the history written in the rocks, and to the wildness that thrives in the national park.
What truly made the experience unforgettable was the warmth of the people. Newfoundlanders welcomed us like old friends, sharing their stories, music, and deep love for the land.
Evenings were spent enjoying fresh, locally caught seafood and traditional
music—joyful, heartfelt, and rich in heritage.
Between the laughter, the quiet hikes and the smell of the sea, I found something rare: peace, perspective, and a profound connection to nature and community.
